Raleigh, N.C. — People who want to apply for jobs at this year’s State Fair can begin applying Oct. 13 through the North Carolina Employment Security Commission at the state fair grounds, officials announced Tuesday.
The ESC office is at Gate 10, at the intersection of Blue Ridge and Trinity roads. The office will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on the first day, and then from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the last day of the fair.
The State Fair runs Oct. 16-26.
“For those people seeking part-time work, the State Fair can be a tremendous opportunity,” ESC Chairman Harry E. Payne Jr. said in a statement.
A Social Security card and picture identification may be required to work for a fair vendor, officials said.
For more information, contact Andy James or Larry Parker at the ESC’s Public Information Office at 919-733-4329.
