Pharma firm picks SciQuest for e-procurement solution

Cary, N.C. — BioMarin Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmacetucial research and development company, has signed on with SciQuest to use its e-procurement solution.

BioMarin focuses on treatments for rare genetic disorders.

The BioMarin center in Novato, Calif., will use the SciQuest solution.

"SciQuest's solution is extremely intuitive and allows our employees to manage and acquire their own materials and supplies quickly and easily," said Isaac Young, director of supply chain operations for BioMarin. "This allows our employees to be more efficient and allows them to focus their efforts on our core business activities."

SciQuest offers its e-procurement solutions through software-as-a-service.
