NIH helps fund new prosthetics/orthotics program at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. — Georgia Tech is launching a program this fall designed to better understand how people use prosthetics and orthotics. The program also will explore means of improving the lives of these device users.

Funded by a grant by the National Institutes of Health and the university, the School of Applied Physiology will create three fellowships per year for five years.

Tech’s School of Applied Physiology also will add degree offerings, including a doctorate in applied physiology and a masters of science in prosthetics and orthotics.
