Cary, N.C. — SciQuest, an international provider of e-procurement services, is the 2008 winner of the American Business Awards “Stevie” for Best Business Turnaround.
SciQuest, which retooled from a lab equipment and supplies seller to e-procurement services in 2002 and went private in 2004, prevailed over seven other firms.
More than 2,600 companies and individuals competed for “Stevie” awards this year.
"The judges chose SciQuest because the company exemplifies what it means to successfully turn a business around,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the awards program.
SciQuest clients include more than 60 colleges and universities and nine of the world’s largest pharmaceutical firms.
