Veteran Embarq media relations manager transfers

Wake Forest, N.C. — Tom Matthews, a veteran media-relations manager for United Telephone, Sprint and Embarq, is transferring from the Carolinas to Florida.

Matthews will oversea Embarq media and public relations in Florida and Texas. He will be based in Florida.

Replacing Matthews to handle media duties for the Carolinas, Virginia and Tennessee is Vernon Fraley. Fraley is a former news anchor with News 14 Carolina.
