Cary, N.C. — HumanCentric, a provider of services and technology to help companies develop more consumer-friendly products, is expanding its footprint to the Midwest.
Founded in 2000. HumanCentric is opening the Chicago office to support clients such as Motorola, Abbott Labs and Baxter. The office employs six people. Overall, HumanCentric employs more than 50 people.
Marvin Smith, a HumanCentric employee since 2001, will lead the Chicago office.
“Opening an office in Chicago is an enormous milestone for HumanCentric,” said Barry Beith, the president and chief technology officer of the company. “By establishing a presence in this market, we are better able to continue our working relationship with clients in this area, as well as expand our services to the many companies that have a need for human factors, usability and design research.”
