Gates Foundation Adds Another $10.4M Grant to N.C. School Initiative

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has increased its commitment to education improvement in North Carolina, giving the state a $10.4 million grant.
Gov. Mike Easley announced the grant on Tuesday. The Gates Foundation gave the state an $11 million grant in 2003.
North Carolina's high tech and life science organizations have been strong advocates of improvements in the state's education system.
