Raleigh Heart-Throb Clay Aiken's Foundation Launches Web Site
Clay Aiken, the American Idol sensation from Raleigh, and the foundation to help children with developmental disabilities unveiled its new web site today.
The Bubel/Aiken Foundation site includes a variety of information about the group's mission, grant opportunities, and links to information about numerous disabilities. It was developed by Design Studio 303, which is based in Hammond, IN.
Aiken, who released double-platinum selling album "Measure of a Man" after his America Idol performances, formed the foundation earlier this year.
The foundation is co-named after Diane Bubel and her 13-year-old autistic son Michael. Aiekn, who was a student at UNC Charlotte as the American Idol experience unfolded, had worked with Michael. He was pursuing a special education degree at UNC Charlotte.
In fact, Aiken has said, Diane Bubel encouraged him to try out for the Idol TV series on Fox.
