Research Triangle Park, N.C. — RTI International will work with two international groups in an effort to promote technology transfer and entrepreneurship.
US-EU Match is the combined effort of RTI, NineSigma and the European-American Business Organization.
Through the program, universities, federal labs and private businesses can link to potential partners among 40 countries that are included in the Enterprise Europe Network.
"RTI's work is increasingly international in scope, and we have already helped numerous organizations in Europe to understand and capitalize on U.S. and North American market opportunities," said Jeff Cope, RTI’s business development manager. He will be the EU-US Match Program director for RTI.
“We are very excited to be part of this network and look forward to helping connect needs and opportunities between the U.S., Europe and other participating countries,” he added.
The program will focus on three areas:
• Exchange of innovations and technology linked to market needs
• Business opportunity awareness and cooperation
• Providing services that encourage participation in the European Framework Programs for Research
Services will include human and web-mediate support, a database of contacts, business partner matching and exchanging technology offers as well as technology requests.
RTI, meanwhile, will conduct “pre-screening” of potential partners.
“The contributions of the U.S. consortium to the Enterprise Europe Network will significantly enhance the transatlantic trade initiatives between these two great economic partners," said Angelos Pangratis, the deputy head of the Delegation of the European Commission involved in the project.
