CED, Hutchison Law Group to Offer Venture Program
The Council for Entrepreneurial Development is teaming with Hutchison Law Group for a program to help entrepreneurs learn more about landing investors and growing their companies.
The two-part series is planned for October 30 and November 29.
Session one will focus on “Creating a Sustainable Business and Perfecting the Pitch.”
Session two will address “Deal Structures and Raising Capital.”
Both programs will run from 4-8:30 p.m. and take place at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in RTP.
Discussion topics include:
• Characteristics of venture-backed companies
• Formation and founder matters
• Protecting and commercializing IP
• Preparing the pitch
• Venture economics and valuation
• Choosing an investor
• Understanding term sheets
• Life as a venture-backed company
