Research Triangle Park, N.C. — David Jones, a venture capitalist at Southern Capitol Ventures in Raleigh, and Stephen Harper, a professor of entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, are the co-chairs for the annual Opportunity Conference put on by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development.
The event, which is in its fifth year, is set for Sept. 10-11 in Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
Harper has written extensively about entrepreneurship and management while also serving on boards of directors at several firms and nonprofit organizations.
Jones, a former U.S. navy pilot, is a principal at Southern Capitol in Raleigh.
“The Opportunity Conference is an excellent and informative resource for entrepreneurs at any stage,” Jones said. “The conference offers a wealth of knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship and tactics to grow your business along with critical networking opportunities between entrepreneurs, investors and service providers.”
The conference will offer guest speakers and panel discussions about business issues as well as workshops and presentations from 10 early stage technology and life science firms.
