Durham, N.C. —
Intersouth Partners is the lead investor in a $1.55 million round of financing for Recommended Reading.
“It’s a very early company,” Intersouth spokesperson Suzanne Cantando said. “This is more of a seed investment.”
The firm also may change its name, she added.
The company, which is developing a search engine that makes selections based on user recommendations, is based in Bethesda, Md.
The Series A funding was disclosed in a regulatory filing, according to Private Equity Wire.
