TapRoot Systems supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup
TapRoot Systems Inc. announced Tuesday its support for Wi-Fi Protected Setup in its rich set of embedded 802.11 Wireless LAN software products.
TapRoot’s WLAN software solutions enable mobile device OEM’s and ODM’s to take advantage of advanced Microsoft Windows Mobile features and meet mobile operator requirements, the company said in its announcements.
TapRoot Systems has developed the necessary security and roaming components that handset vendors need to support and manage the discovery, association, authentication and encryption for 802.11 Wireless LAN networks.
Integration-ready solutions for Windows Mobile, Symbian OS, and Linux Mobile include WLAN security supplicants, device drivers and testing services that enable customers to create differentiated devices with the fastest time to market.
TapRoot’s Security Supplicant for Windows Mobile supports a wide variety of security methods, including those required for WPA/WPA2 personal and enterprise and now, Wi-Fi Protected Setup certification.
