Red Hat Expands Enterprise Offerings With New Provisioning Module
Red Hat is offering a new Provisioning Module that it says will allow enterprise Linux customers to deploy, configure, and manage multiple new or existing systems.
"The Provisioning Module helps organizations cost effectively manage enterprise infrastructure," said Paul Cormier, executive vice president of engineering at Red Hat. "Red Hat has centralized and automated the process of system provisioning with one simple interface. The new capability is proof of Red Hat's dedication to provide systems management that addresses the complexity of an Open Source Architecture, from the core platform through applications."
Red Hat made the announcement at LinuxWorld in New York.
The company says the Provisioning Module in Red Hat Network is the latest of its buildout and delivery of Open Source Architecture strategy announced in September.
Available to Red Hat Linux users since 2000, Red Hat Network is designed to provide systems management for Linux infrastructures. It helps is now comprised of three distinct modules for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems management:
