RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Quintiles announced Thursday that it is re-locating its European headquarters to within 30 minutes of Heathrow Airport at Green Park in Reading, England.
The move supports Quintiles’ model as a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical services company offering clinical, commercial, consulting and capital solutions worldwide. It is designed to create an even higher level of collaboration and effectiveness among Quintiles’ European team to better serve the company’s customers.
The five-story, 120,000-square-foot building is fully equipped with advanced technology to allow Quintiles employees to work seamlessly with colleagues around the globe. Designed and built to the highest sustainability standards, the building also has been awarded strong ratings for energy efficiency and environmental impact.
This investment by Quintiles follows the opening of its state-of-the-art laboratory and office facility in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2009, and the expansion of its Phase I facility in London, completed in March 2010.
Quintiles employs more than 2,000 people in the United Kingdom.
It is anticipated that the building will be occupied during late 2011.
