• GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy expands management team
WILMINGTON, N.C. – Ruth Ravitz Smith is the new senior vice president for global government relations at GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy.
The position is also a new one for the firm.
Smith most recently served as vice president for government affairs for power and transport at technology firm Alstom. She has more than 25 years of experience in government relations.
• FairPoint Communications names new CIO
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Kathleen McLean, a veteran telecommunications executive, is the new chief information offer at telecom services provider FairPoint Communications.
McLean was senior vice president for customer service at Verizon Partner Solutions before joining FairPoint. She had worked for that firm since 1998. McLean has more than 27 years of experience in information technology.
• Peak 10 is expanding in Richmond, Va.
RICHMOND, Va. – Managed services provider Peak 10 is expanding its facilities in Richmond, adding a second building.
The 13,500 square foot structure will open later this year.
Peak 10 operates 18 data centers in 10 U.S. markets. The firm is based in Charlotte.
