Semiconductor-designer Rapid Bridge makes East Coast landing in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. —  California semiconductor design firm Rapid Bridge said Tuesday that it is opening a design center in downtown Raleigh to boost contact with East Coast customers.

The new shop will work out of 19 W. Hargett St., River Bridge said. The company is based in San Diego.

"We are pleased to expand our design team and physical presence to both coasts,” said Massih Tayebi, Rapid Bridge's CEO. “North Carolina has a tradition of technical excellence and we have always been impressed with the talent pool and the quality of engineering resources. I am very proud of our team here and excited about the opportunity before us.”

Rapid Bridge describes itself as tackling "the challenges associated with integrated circuit (IC) design and development at advanced nanometer technology across a wide array of market segments, including networking, storage, consumer, telecoms, mil/aero and mobility."

The company's products are LiquidIP LiquidASICand LiquidSoC.
