Biotech-chemical supply services firm in Durham names new CEO

Doe & Ingalls, a provider of raw materials and other supplies for biotechnology, microelectronics and chemical firms, has a new chief executive officer.

John Elmo, who had been executive vice president, replaced Tom Merrick on Monday. The two men co-founded the company in 1986. Merrick will remain with the firm as an adviser and as part of the board.

John Hollenbach, a longtime executive with the firm, was named vice president and general manager. He had been sales and marketing director.

The company has grown to include 59 employees and has operations in five states.

Doe & Ingalls works with clients to establish supply chains, design chemical management programs and develop risk management programs.
