Research Triangle Park, N.C. — Norris Tolson, chief executive officer of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, has been elected to the board of directors for the North Carolina Biosciences Organization (NCBIO).
Tolson, a member of the Biotech Center’s board since 2001, was named its CEO in July 2007.
NCBIO is a trade group that lobbies on behalf of the state’s biotechnology sector.
Other new NCBIO board members include Jeff Collins of Pappas Ventures, Susan Thomason of NovaQuest, and Jan Turek, CEO at Biolex Therapeutics.
