CED lays off five staff members as part of ‘right-sizing’ moves

The entrepreneurial organization had become ‘too large,’ says incoming board chair Stephen Wiehe. Board wants CED to be better stewards of members’ donations, funds, he adds. Current chair Mary Musacchia says moves follow a review of CED’s focus and purpose.

N.C. Biotech Center launches fellowship program for university researchers

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. - The North Carolina Biotechnology Center is launching a program that could foster more commercialization of research work being done at the state’s universities.

This time, however, the focus is minds, not matter.
